A new scientific highlight from the Neuroscience Society of Turkey published in Nature in 2009 is now available on the FENS website.

In 2010, the directors of the Dana Foundation again approved a grant to FENS. This money together with an additional allowance from the Federation enabled the funding of small grants to several European Brain Awareness Week partner organisations for public presentation during the campaign.

The Governing Council of the International Brain Research Organisation (IBRO) has elected new members to the Western European Regional Chapter (WERC).

FENS has established a new committee, the "Committee on Animals in Research" (CARE).

FENS is pleased to announce this years' Boehringer-Ingelheim FENS Research Award winner. The 2010 Boehringer-Ingelheim FENS Research Award will be given to Fekrije Selimi (CNRS).

Stipends will cover travel and accommodation costs of up to 1000 Euros. The stipends are intended for Master and early PhD students registered within NENS member schools or programmes.

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctoral Program "ENC-Network" (European Neuroscience Campus Network) invites applications from students with a solid background in neurosciences, biological psychology or medicine (at masters level or equivalent) with a strong affinity to studying brain diseases.

The “European Platform for Life Sciences, Mind Sciences, and the Humanities” is an interdisciplinary network for early career researchers looking for synergies and new perspectives resulting from interdisciplinary exchange across the related disciplines.
