NENS STIPENDS for Training Stays

Closing Date: 15 May 2010

Are you a student at a NENS programme and would like to gain international experience?

After its successful launch in 2007 NENS in cooperation with FENS is pleased to announce its call for applications in 2010 for its trans-European NENS exchange programme.

Stipends will cover travel and accommodation costs of up to 1,000 €.

The stipends are intended for Master and early PhD students registered within NENS member schools or programmes. Applicants are expected to spend a period of one to three months at a NENS member school of their choice in a different European country for the purpose of methodological training.

You have the possibility to either conduct an individually arranged internship at a NENS lab or take part in organised courses offered by NENS programmes.

This time, courtesy of the Portuguese Society for Neuroscience, an additional special stipend will be made available for a Portuguese student who wishes to train at an international NENS lab. Full details on the NENS website!

Closing date for applications is 15 May 2010.

Preference will be given to early stage students and those who intend to conduct methodological training for the integration in their research work. International stays within the NENS community will be prioritised in accordance with the NENS ethos of fostering training and exchange at the level of graduate research and education across the European neuroscience community.
